This page contains download links for PuTTY release 0.81.
0.81, released on 2024-04-15, is not the latest release. See the Latest Release page for the most up-to-date release (currently 0.83).
Past releases of PuTTY are versions we thought were reasonably likely to work well, at the time they were released. However, later releases will almost always have fixed bugs and/or added new features. If you have a problem with this release, please try the latest release, to see if the problem has already been fixed.
You probably want one of these. They include versions of all the PuTTY utilities (except the new and slightly experimental Windows pterm).
(You probably want the 64-bit x86 version. The 32-bit version is only for backward compatibility with very old PCs / versions of Windows.)
It is built to comply with international standards, primarily (for steady-state operations) and IEC 60853 (for cyclic and emergency loads), ensuring that calculations are legally and technically robust for utility-scale projects. Key Features of Cableizer 1. Advanced Ampacity Calculations
Cableizer Software: Technical Overview Report is a specialized web-based application designed for the thermal analysis and rating of underground and overhead power cables. It is widely used by electrical engineers to ensure cable installations meet international safety and performance standards. 1. Core Functions and Applications The software is primarily used for cable sizing thermal rating calculations. GSES - Global Sustainable Energy Solutions Ampacity Calculations: cableizer software
By operating entirely within a web browser, Cableizer removes the traditional hardware limitations of desktop software (such as hardware keys/dongles and manual installation packages), facilitating seamless global engineering collaboration via instant project share links. Core Engineering Capabilities 1. Ampacity & Thermal Rating Calculations It is built to comply with international standards,
: CYMCAP is a powerful, specialized tool for cable thermal assessment. However, it is an installed desktop application. Cableizer offers several advantages over CYMCAP, including a more modern, web-based interface, a highly detailed cable construction editor, and, according to the developers, superior performance in several calculation aspects. Cableizer has also developed methods for ventilated tunnels that its competitor does not offer. It is widely used by electrical engineers to
The shift toward cloud-native engineering tools is undeniable. is at the forefront of this movement. The development team regularly releases updates—new features, bug fixes, and extended standards support—without any user action required. Version control becomes simple: the calculation engine is always the latest.
